RED DAYS!!!!!!!
Two girls having conversation after class
girl 1: "meron ba? (sabay talikod)"
girl 2: OMG meron!
Relate much huh? Because we all experienced that. Well, it makes us happy when we are remembering our highschool days but one thing's I don't ever want to remember. The moment that I have stained my school uniform.
Way back to 2000, I was 10 years old when I had my first menstruation. It was frustrating, I was clueless on how to handle my red days. All that I knew is that I have to use sanitary napkins. So, the first brand that I used was this popular brand because that's what my sister was using too. I can still remember that dyahe feeling when I had no idea how to put it properly. Sometimes I put it too low, sometimes too high. Because the pad is short. And, as a 10 years old girl, I am pretty active with all the playing and running that we do after school so my pad tends to move. hay!! having period at such an early age is a curse! I really hated it that time.
There was a time, when I was in grade 5, I'm 11 years old. I am on a theater workshop, so the director will make you do different things, different activities, tambling, talon, upo, baluktot, higa etc. So, I was enjoying our class when I realized "shocks meron nga pala ako" It was too late because I already stained my acid wash jeans! So think about the light color of my pants, the stain was so damn obvious!! So I was thinking what I must do. Iniisip ko, wala naman akong pamalit, alangan maghubad ako dito, wala naman ako pamasahe pauwi sa bahay para magtricycle pa ko. Anong ggawin ko?? What I did was to get a piece of long brown envelope, and I used it to cover my back. I was walking home holding an envelope on my back. And two rude boys keep kicking the envelope. Well, bad karma to you guys! It was horrible, I know and I wanna cry for that. *cry cry*
And there, story goes on, stained shorts, pants, skirts, uniforms, bed sheet, blankets, bed and even stuffed toys. And I cant believe that I kept using that brand even if its shortness gives me uncomfortable feeling esp at bedtime. Well, that's what my mom and sister was using and if you wanna use other brand, you have to buy it yourself.
Until the day when I can buy my own things. The day that I can decide for myself. The time when I have a family already and its just me and my husband that's responsible for grocery shopping. I was looking at the different brands of napkins in the supermarket. And I saw Whisper super clean and dry. And I did not hesitate to try it. It was a bit comfortable than the first brand that I used. It absorbs fluid better, I don't feel wet and hot down there,it don't get deformed so I don't have to change pad every 2 hours. And I am feeling well, I feel like I don't have my period. So imagine the comfort that I have when its time to sleep. No more stains on the bed. Promise, you can even ask my husband. Nakabukaka pa ko na nakapatong sakanya ang paa ko habang natutulog. But, you won't see me waking up with that red stain again. Not anymore! =D
Whew, I am never gonna switch to other pads again! I am sticking to whisper forever and ever.
